Privacy at LAW Asset Management.
Effective September 15, 2026. This policy explains what personal information we collect through lawassetmanagement.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
LAW Asset Management (“LAW,” “we,” “us”) provides real estate asset management and mortgage default services.
Information we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us. There are three ways that happens.
When you contact us. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, company, the type of organization you represent, and whatever you choose to write in the message field. We use this to route your inquiry to the right person at LAW and to respond to it.
When you request a capability statement. To send you a capability statement, we ask for your name, work email address, company, and optionally what you are looking for. We use this to email you the document and to follow up if you have questions. We also record which document you requested and when.
When you hold an Order Management System account. If LAW has provided you with an account, we collect the information needed to create and secure it, including your email address and authentication credentials. Account access is provided under our agreement with your organization.
Technical information. When you visit the site, we record standard technical information: the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, your country, and an anonymous session identifier. We use this to understand how the site is used and to keep it secure. A one-way hash of your IP address is also stored temporarily for spam prevention. Our email service records whether a message we sent was delivered. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
How we use it
We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send you the document you asked for, follow up about LAW’s services, operate and secure the Order Management System, and meet our legal and contractual obligations.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling. We do not add you to a marketing mailing list because you requested a document. If we ever want to send you general marketing email, we will ask first.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers who operate the site on our behalf — our website and database platform, and our email delivery service. They may process the information only to provide those services to us.
- Professional advisers such as counsel or auditors, where necessary.
- Legal requirements — where we are required to disclose information by law, legal process, or a regulator, or to establish or defend legal claims.
We do not share your information with any other third party for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Contact form inquiries and capability statement requests: 24 months from your last contact with us, unless we are working with you, in which case we keep them for the life of the relationship.
- Order Management System account records: for as long as the account is active, and for 90 days after it is closed, unless a longer period is required by our agreement with your organization or by law.
We delete or anonymize information when these periods end.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct it if it is wrong,
- delete it,
- provide a copy of it in a portable format,
- stop contacting you.
Depending on where you live, some of these are legal rights — including for residents of Texas, California, and a number of other states — and you may be entitled to appeal if we decline a request. We honor these requests regardless of whether the law where you live requires it.
To make a request, email privacy@lawassetmanagement.com. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity before acting, particularly for a deletion request.
Security
We protect personal information with access controls, encryption in transit, and role-based restrictions on who inside LAW can see it. Inquiry and document-request records are readable only by authorized LAW administrators. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these obligations seriously and review them.
Children
The site is intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If the change is significant, we will say so on this page.
